Therapy creates an opportunity to safely explore our inner and outer worlds; to compassionately investigate the decisions we make (and keep making) and figure out what might be getting in the way of us opening ourselves up to new possibilities.

If you find yourself wishing you had more confidence, better boundaries and closer friendships, a more harmonious family life and a deeper (perhaps more passionate) connection with the partner you have, or hope to find, then therapy could help.

Mindfulness (awareness of the present moment) is key to accessing the path to a happier, calmer, and more fulfilling day to day experience of life – but staying present when life is busy and your mind is racing and your body is stressed, is no mean feat! Therapy offers strategies to help you to come back to the present moment so you can slow everything down and take a good look at what gets in the way of your happiness. And provides support while you make the transition from your old ways of thinking and doing things to the new.

If you have any questions at all, feel free to email me and we can arrange a time to talk over the phone or I’m happy to reply by email.

Fees and T&Cs

  • A one-to-one therapy session lasts one hour. Each session costs £70.

  • Online sessions are available at the same cost.

Couples (and other relationships)

In my experience, Imago Relationship Therapy offers the simplest and most effective way to support and guide you back into loving connection with your partner, no matter how far you may have drifted apart or how angry, lost, or disappointed you might be feeling.

Using a combination of mindfulness and guided communication techniques, you’ll be able to get to the heart of the matter, share what’s really going on for you, listen and be heard in a way that resonates on a deep and healing level.

This process will invite your curiosity – a necessary component for understanding. Once you really get what is going on for each of you, you’ll be able to make decisions together about how your relationship can better serve you both.

Whether you’ve been together for 3 months or 30 years, are in crisis or simply want more harmony, fun and sex, putting aside time to really focus on getting the love you want and learning how to give the love your partner wants can set your relationship (back) on track.

This is a kind and gentle process. You will dictate the pace and I will support you as you go, one step at a time.

*I’m happy to work with any couples bringing any issue, although I have a special interest in same sex couples and those from the LGBTQIA+ community. I have lived, loved, played and worked in queer and trans spaces for many years and have an insider’s perspective on the subtle and not so subtle nuances of difference, which might be useful or reassuring for some couples to know.

Hypnotherapy

I sometimes use hypnotherapy to support the work of psychotherapy. It can be a useful strategy for reaching deeply held unconscious beliefs that cause phobic responses, anxiety, low self-confidence and compulsive behaviours.

The only time I use hypnosis as a stand-alone therapy is for smoking cessation, which it is brilliant for! The success rates for smokers undertaking cessation hypnosis are very high. I was a twenty-a-day smoker for 20 years – almost as long as I’ve been a non smoker, thanks to hypnosis.

SMOKING CESSATION HYPNOSIS

The format is two sessions. The first is for 90 minutes and the second is a booked for 7-10 days later as a reinforcement. You can find out more about this on my website. The cost is £220 for both sessions and can be online as well as face to face.
